We have worked with job seekers at all stages of their professional careers and have a strong passion for helping young professionals develop an effective game plan to launch into the workforce.

SOPHIE

Sophie was born and educated in the United Kingdom where she earned a BA in French & History and professional qualifications in Business Administration Management and Operations from the Solihull College of Technology. Sophie began her early career in sales and marketing with Air France. She spent time living in Sweden and in 2003 relocated to the United States with her family and has lived on the East Coast and the West Coast. She currently resides in the greater Los Angeles area. Sophie has a global perspective on business with years of experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, and career coaching.

When not working with BLAZE clients, Sophie likes to catch up with her two oldest children at college who are based on the East & West Coast at Lehigh University and Cal State Channel Islands. She also gently prods the younger one still at home to do his ACT prep and enjoys watching him play football under the Friday Night Lights. For her relaxation she spends time walking on the local Southern California beaches with her husband of over 20 years. Sophie is also an avid cook and pickle ball player.

KATIE

Katie was born in the Midwest, raised in Florida, and has lived up and down the East Coast of the United States. She currently resides in the Metropolitan Washington DC area. She earned her BSBA in Finance and Health Science from the University of Central Florida and began her early career working in the pharmaceutical industry where she held multiple positions in sales and sales training with two global pharmaceutical companies. In 2010 Katie founded BioForceRx Recruiting & Consulting, a woman-owned small business, specializing in recruiting and consulting services in the Life Sciences industry. In her role as Principal Partner at BioForceRx Katie’s responsibilities range from business development and client procurement to sourcing and recruiting. She also provided specialized consulting services to assist companies in the strategic planning and implementation of their recruitment process. In 2014 Sophie joined Katie at BioForceRx Recruiting & Consulting.

During her downtime Katie enjoys traveling with her husband and her three children. Her two oldest attend the University of South Carolina and University of Florida. Go Gamecocks! Go Gators! Her youngest is a Junior in high school and keeps her very busy attending soccer and basketball games. She also loves riding her Peloton, doing daily meditation and yoga, and reading.

Katie and Sophie’s aim at BLAZE Next Generation Career Coaching is to help clients develop confidence and communicate their professional value when looking to be hired. BLAZE Next Generation Career Coaching grew organically from their experiences at BioForceRx. Over the years they both have worked closely with human resource partners, talent acquisition specialists, and hiring managers and have developed a keen awareness and understanding of what successful job candidates look like. Their BioForceRx clients included start-up biotechnology firms, global biopharmaceutical, medical device, and digital health companies. Working with these clients they both developed a solid understanding of the recruitment and hiring process.

Katie and Sophie have worked with job seekers at all stages of their careers and have a real passion for helping college students, recent graduates, and young professionals in the early stages of their professional careers. They understand what early stage job seekers need to know to be successful in their job search, their job transitions, and in their overall career planning.
